Bilingual Interventions

Kathryn Haase

Kathryn has been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1984.  She joined the Bilingual Interventions team in November, 2011, after a 27-year career in the public schools.  Kathryn’s clinical interests and expertise are in the areas of social-emotional development, and speech, language, and cognitive disorders.  Kathryn has extensive experience with preschool and school-aged children with a wide variety of conditions.  Throughout her career, Kathryn has continued to develop her understanding of the relationship between language, social, and academic skills in order to help students improve their classroom performance.  Kathryn has regularly collaborated with both regular and special education teachers and related service providers such as Occupational, Physical, and Music Therapists.  She enjoys working with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, has been a volunteer teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL) in the community, and is trained in Accent Modification Therapy.  

Kathryn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  She regularly participates in continuing education courses in order to stay current in her field and provide the most effective, evidence-based treatment approaches for her clients.   Kathryn’s expertise and genuine commitment to providing high quality care for her clients and their families make her an asset to our clinic and the community we serve.
