Diana was born in Ecuador and moved to the States when she turned 5. She like many people who migrated to the States, had to learn English. She received her Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and Sciences with Spanish as her minor through SUNY-Geneseo. After graduating in 2006, life took her to other journeys that involved working as a Spanish teacher for an all boy’s military academy, earning a Master’s degree in Education, tutoring foreign students, being an ESL teacher, and traveling to S.Korea to teach English. When she came back, she decided to accomplish her dream of becoming a Speech- Language Pathologist. She received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at West Texas A&M University 2020. She is licensed in New Mexico as a Clinical Fellow and has been working at Bilingual Interventions since August 2020. Diana’s hometown is in Wisconsin; however, decided to move to New Mexico to utilize her skills as a bilingual SLP.

 She has experience working with children from 3-18 years of age with various disabilities and special needs. She also has clinical experience ranging from infants with feeding disorders to working with the geriatric population with dementia, Parkinson’s, or Alzheimer’s Disease.   She is trained in using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and SPEAKOUT! & LOUD Crowd.  She always had a heart for helping those find their voice as well as well as their place in this world. Diana views life as one big adventure.  She loves to travel, meet people from all over the world, experience trying all sorts of foods, and making watercolor cards for friends in her free time.
